With the paintings above it was my intention to simplify the human form to become one with the surrounding, to be part of the narrative, to twist, distort and become the feeling. To represent the emotion. To use form and shape in order to help convey the meaning.

Abstract Designs

Following on with the style I developed, I have begun a series of abstract canvases which echo sentiments of movement, organic nature and flowing energy.

Nude Studies

The beginnings of a series of nude studies which will look at the female form in an almost abstract way whilst keeping the proportion, grace and realism of the models.

 

About these paintings

The paintings in this gallery are part of an ongoing series in which the aim for me is to explore emotion, thought, action and expression by representation in human form.

Some may see light where others see dark, some will understand whilst others may not. For my part I hope they please the viewer and also hope they convey some sense of beauty. Make of them what you will, for they are what they are.
